A day of trial and error...

When you have different options available for you, there can be good points and bad points associated with each one of them. For me, i have different HPC systems available which is good because it means more processing capacities for the many researchers using them. The catch, however, is that each system may require different settings for jobs to run. I'm not going to go into details about the differences of each system because i am obviously going to be technical about it. The point is that, today i am in need of running several jobs and one system has got a long queue of jobs and thus i may need to run them on other systems. But the thing is, i may have to run tests to check if they run without a hitch on the new system. Am i making sense?! (ArgghhH!)

My jobs are probably similar to the cars lagging behind the big trucks. Trying to make their way to the front of the line.
