Shed loads of drama

Sometimes a Blip is just that... a blip in your day.

Or evening.

Tonight my husband called me from his faceless hotel in the Midlands and said: "The Sugar Sheds are on Hollyoaks!"

"What?" said I, knowing he'd never watched Hollyoaks in his life.

"Mmh, maybe not Hollyoaks... "

"Waterloo Road?" I replied. An educated guess, since the hit BBC1 drama series is filmed in an old school in Greenock, where the A-listed Sugar Sheds are to be found at James Watt Dock...

"That's it!"

So I threw my son off the football and found said drama, where a pivotal part of the episode was taking place at the sugar sheds.

The sheds at James Watt Dock in Greenock are the base for Absent Voices, a group of eight artists and musicians who have received funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to tell the creative story of Greenock's once mighty sugar industry to the wider world.

I'm working with them to help get this message out to the wider world. And a fascinating gig it is too!

This is a picture I took of my TV showing one of the dodgy characters (Barry) up to no good against the backdrop of the sheds.
