Claddoch Quarry
It was a nice morning so after going into Elgin to get some corrugated iron for a wood store I'm building I decided to take the cross country root back to Findhorn. The first stop was Claddoch and the top picture shows one of the many little ponds that have been created by the quarrying. On one of the embankments there was of forest of moss (right) which was a little different from the more normal mosses which I see (left) which was taken on my way through Pluscarden Abbey. Here the aconites were not as well developed as at Nairn so I might return another day. I then popped into a friend for coffee nearby before returning via Califer where it started to rain. By the time I got back to Findhorn it was another lovely day. The symmetry of the day was completed by putting on the corrugated roof of the wood store!
