All Change!

Well who'd have thought we'd still be in Rio today? Certainly not us! 24 hrs ago and we were all packed up, finishing our lunch and ready to go to the airport back to Barcelona. We were on the Copacabana front grabbing our last Rio blips, both saying how nice it would be to have a few more days here just to relax a bit, now that Bb's work's done in São Paulo and the maintenance and DIY tasks are done in our studio. Half an hour later and some nifty work on Bb's part to see if we could still change our flights (perhaps making up for that morning's cutting of the cable incident) and a simultaneous accommodation internet search on mine to make sure we wouldn't be sleeping on the street, and the dirty deed was done. We're staying for a bit longer! Our own little studio's booked for the 4 carnival nights and so we have to vacate it for these days. Last night and this morning we looked at several options and have chosen a hotel very nearby, which has wifi and a little rooftop pool. We'd like to try and have a few days relaxation. We even looked at another studio in our building, but it didn't have internet. It'll be funny walking past our front door, but means we'll be able to meet our guests personally now.

Blip's of our latest item in the studio - meet Doña Esmeralda. She's only about 6 inches high, but we thought it only right to have one here as we've got a few in Barcelona. We called her Esmerelda as I asked Bb for suggestions and he said Esmerelda as it was a bright, colourful name for someone full of character! I'm tempted to put a little camera inside Dona Esmeralda so that she can keep an eye on things for us when we're not here ;-)

And as Bb feared, I've already found another little task for us to do!
