From the road ...

Driving home from Kendal today, I saw this tree by the side of the road. Not a particularly special tree, but its size, emphasised of course by the angle from which I was looking, made it massively overtop the nearby house. Another reminder, if one was needed after this winter's weather, that nature can still dominate the works of man.

More trips around the South Lakes tomorrow, from industrial Barrow to the country near Lancaster. I hope to have something good to share by the evening.
