Long finals for home

Poor shot, but it's a welcome sight - on finals to land back at base. You can just see the runway in the middle upper section of the shot under the clouds.

There's nothing better than seeing the lights of that runway shining through the dark after a long day's flying, especially when the weather has been bad. It's such a good feeling - rest, safety, warmth, quiet, stillness are all just a few minutes away...
