Calm after the storm
My phone went off at 2:30 this morning - it goes with the job. Scrambled. It was windy going to work, it was howling in the Atlantic. A fisherman injured. Fortunately not too seriously so instead of performing what would be an extremely hazardous transfer in the dark, we waited for first light. Much safer for everyone. Interesting as a photo of a rescue would be, we are busy - too much going on.
So instead I go for the contrast. By the time I got home and went to walk the dog, the wind had died away. The drama of the morning ebbed away, the fisherman safe and on the road to recovery. Tranquil reflections on a busy day.
