Bubble Selfie

The sky had so much promise, a new walk, but somehow the dramatic clouds, the remote landscape just couldn't get the creative juices going. Perhaps it was the bog hopping I was doing. Squelch, Squelch, Splash. Wet feet again. I love walking, I love walking in remote places, selfishly wanting the sky and the landscape to myself. But this part (indeed most of the interior of the island) is bog. Not pleasant walking. So once the dog had given me "that look" once too often we turned around and headed home. It's uncomfortable carrying a camera home with unsatisfying images.

Still the sky is bright, the path is getting more defined and we get close to a waterfall. Maybe something there to fill my memory card with happiness? Still no joy. Then these bubbles come racing past. Now that's better, something abstract. Favourite lens and snap snap. Smile.

It was only when I get home that I see that in fact it is a multiple selfie, with me not showing my best side. Still, I like it
