Children's Carnival

Carnival in Funchal has started.

Today was the Children's Carnival. Lots of fun. Dressing up. Loadsa pirates and princesses. Dancing. All on channel 2, RTP Madeira.

Schools did their own thing. Some in the parade. Others their own little parade. Proud Mums and Dads.

No worries about photos. A smile and they're stars of this special show.

It was hard to choose a blip to capture the magic. I could have gone for cute but I wanted the fun. Sheer fun.

And we all joined in.

Tomorrow is the serious adult samba and sexy Carnival.

But today's was special.
