nonsenses & truths

Uncommon ground

Thought I'd come and see the current exhibition on in Warwick Arts Centre after work; a good Friday activity. I'm familiar with some of Andy Goldsworthy's work, mainly because he is local-ish to my parents, but I've never come across the term 'land art' to describe it before. There is an early Anthony Gormley, and then many others that I hadn't heard of.

I really like some of the work here, all sorts of ideas expressed, and many that I missed I'm sure. A couple of map-related works - I love maps - and some photographs taken of, and describing, multi-day walks. These have given me some ideas about documenting cycle or walking trips, so I'm feeling all inspired and thoughtful.
