Give me Energy

Monster Energy.

I'll have to admit I've not had an energy drink for some time, when I was around the age of about 20 I did get into drinking red bull and vodka on nights out. I remember getting home at three in the morning and not being able to sleep from the effects of the caffeine and sugar in said drinks.

Sport has obviously been associated with these drinks, ie lucozade for athletes and red bull with the F1 teams etc etc but Monster Energy is by far the coolest in sponsorship in my opinion. They sponsor some of the coolest extreme sports personalities and many of my favourite motorcyclists including Valentino Rossi, Cal Crutchlow and Bradley Smith all Motogp Heroes to me.

The great thing is Motogp is almost upon us and with testing being very close this week I'm slightly excited, two of the top riders posted the same fastest lap time within 1/1000th of a second. Hopefully the racing is just as close this season.

I may not be a consumer of their drinks but I'm consumed by their style and support for sports personalities.

I made these a while back whilst learning how to use the laser cutter at work and think they look pretty cool hanging from my car rear view mirror.
