Actor Russell Dixon

A portrait of actor Russell Dixon, in a break between scenes in Sir Alan Ayckbourn's Time Of My Life, the first revival by the playwright since it's première in 1972, which Russell also appeared in.
Today was my second photo shoot this week at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham, for the Stephen Joseph Theatre, which is touring three Ayckbourn plays.
I've always enjoyed theatre photo calls, finding the right angle, the right light, seeing actors at work, catching the 'decisive moment'. So I was delighted to be asked to shoot some new photos, because of new actors joining the cast, by my old friends at the Scarborough theatre.
There are only a handful of professional theatrical photographers in the UK, and I'd happily be another one given the chance. Or maybe specialising in the arts, meeting interesting, creative people...
