Teardrop Park

Compared to the really wonderful landscapes I've seen here, this is absolutely underwhelming. But it's more of a tip-off to visitors to NYC who have a tiny bit of time beyond the usual sites or need a little respite: much of the open space along the Hudson towards the bottom of Manhattan (e.g. Hudson River Park) has surprisingly beautiful landscaping and horticulture.
This tiny 1.8-acre park is wedged between the residential towers of Battery Park City. I'm fond of it as I remember taking our daughter there when it opened in 2004, delighting in its long kids' slide, rock wall, varied topography, and intriguing partitioning of spaces.
