Love and Information

(Shot at the Minetta Lane Theatre from my seat--but it's not the play)
The Caryl Churchill play accumulates fragmentary tableaus--scenes and conversations--that explore intensely many themes on information: how having it changes relationships, memory, unimportant information, how individuals respond differently or assign different values to information, information in love, sex as information, and so on. A very non-standard format that at first seems simply clever but then becomes quite powerful in all the elements it explores. If you're looking for a conventional narrative and plot line, you'll be disappointed: but if you go with few expectations and a bit of stamina, you may be amazed.
