#1 Pusillanimous
DDW March Challenge #1 Pusillanimous
Today was rainy and bleak, so I stayed home and relaxed with the animals. This morning I was doing laundry in the basement and stepped outside to see this pusillanimous bird perched in the neighbors' tree, with volatils gliding silently behind. The other birds came out in the breaks between showers to peck at the fancy bird seed I got them, but this one kept his distance.
Pusillanimous Quote:
Nobody is so heartily despised as a pusillanimous, lazy, good-for-nothing, landlubber; a sailor has no bowels of compassion for him.
Herman Melville, (1819-1891), U.S. author. Omoo (1846), ch. 14, The Writings of Herman Melville.
