#28 ℨalowe ℨipper
DDW February Challenge #28 ℨalowe ℨipper
There is one more letter in this archaic alphabet!
From the dictionary:
ℨ. This letter is found in early English manuscripts, written after the twelfth century. It is a corruption of the Anglo-Saxon letter g, and sometimes answers to our g, sometimes to y, sometimes to gh, and also to a mute consonant at the commencement of a word....When it occupies the place of the Anglo-Saxon letter, no other character represents its exact force.
This ℨalowe ℨipper, or yellow chirper, was at the pet store today. They had 10 parakeets for sale, alongside one cockatiel. They were all very content to get their pictures taken, weren't at all skittish.
Now that these ℨ words have been posted, the challenge is over for me. Thank you, DDW, for your challenges, especially February's. I am looking forward to March, love those odd words. :)
