Pause for Thought

Younger child, not well.

He was in nursery most of the day but had a doctor's appointment mid afternoon.

So we were home comparatively early. And we sat in the kitchen and I asked if he wanted to read, play, watch TV whilst I cooked dinner. But no, he said "I want to sit here and chatter with you"

So we did. And he was full of excitement and happiness. So bright and enthusiastic.

We had a brilliant evening, just the two of us (Tom was at a school movie night with 'Auntie' Clare and didn't arrive until after Alex was in bed.
