My Life: Shredded

As part of decluttering my attic I've been going through what feels like tons of old paperwork. Much of this now requires to be shredded. And this is the start of it - lots more to do. I really can't believe the stuff that I've held on to over the years. On Friday I had to go back into the pile of stuff that I was keeping and realised that even some of that I didn't need to keep - so at a second pass I've got rid of even more.

It really is cathartic getting rid of a lot of this stuff because so much of it relates to a part of my life which I've left behind and have very much drawn a line under - I'm talking here specifically about work. It's not a part of my life that I regret - indeed it is very much a part of my life that has shaped who and what I am now. But it is in the past and I don't need to hold on to bits of paper that record it.

Note to self: Get rid of stuff on a regular and frequent basis.
