Backlit Crocuses

There was a sunrise, but no clouds, which left the dawn rather lacking in character. I decided not to stop and instead went straight to work. I was however, drawn to the early light on the crocuses I had photographed on Friday. They were especially attractive backlit by the early sun.

Unfortunately no tripod or macro lens so I had to resort to the Sony compact. Not ideal but hopefully it portrays the light streaming through the frosty grass first thing this morning. This is definitely a shot I will try to revisit to improve upon after this initial effort.
