A thick white frost ........

......... this morning at 05.45 but now, where the sun is shining, it has started to melt (in the shade it's still very frosty).

These grasses are catching the early morning sun and the droplets are shining beautifully - I don't think I've ever managed to catch a "sparkle" before and here I got two for the price of one.
Totally unprocessed aside from a small crop ......

Thank you for all the comments and stars on my "gate to nowhere" ..... it's not far from Mum's house so may go back and take a wider angle shot one day so you can see it in all its lonely glory.


Not too long now until the "Band of Blippers Bash Florida 2014" ..... and we have yet another confirmed attender - this one escaping from the frozen state of Illinois to the southern sunshine!
It's going to be a PARTY!!!!!
