When the red ,red robin

This red robin was flying around the garden while I sat in the arbour. He sat on the fence and sang his song.
It was a great start to the morning, blue skies with fluffy clouds and sunshine. There must have been another dumping of snow on the hilltops as even the ones close to us were glistening in the sunlight.
There were quite a few starlings sitting on the telephone wires. A bluetit sat in the silver birch and was preening. Several goldfinches fluttered down to the feeders. The snowdrops I planted yesterday were covered in raindrops. Two Carrion crow landed on the roof and made quite abit of noise talking to each other.
I could see the grey clouds creeping in until half the sky was grey and the other half blue. It did rain but I, afraid to say we needed it. Not many people in the UK can say that, But the bird baths were dry and the pots really needed a water.

Now back from Brownies and watching The Great British Sewing Bee.
