Stuff of legends!

Gosh was busy today, should have been doing more paper work but the linen cupboard beckoned! well I can tell you it was a much harder job than I anticipated! I put 4 bags of almost new sheets to the charity shop! (knew I should have kept a few for the painting but will pinch a few back tomorrow!)
More stuff to the dump too (I'm on a roll here) hubby comes back tomorrow so my dump forays will diminish!
Went to a tourism thing tonight and there was a guy there talking about how King Arthur had his roots in Argyll, he had loads of evidence to support his claim yet neither the Council, Visit Scotland or Historic Scotland want to know! I'm thinking there might be a few yarns to be spun so I am going to get his book and read it. The interesting thing that came from the question session was that almost everyone in the room rejected his findings & one had the cheek to say "I think I can speak for everyone in this room that your stuff is our bunkum & doesn't fit in with our pure ancient history" Flaming heck, she didn't speak for me! If Visit Scotland can put 5 million quid into supporting a stupid cartoon of a wee redhead fighting bears and imaginary clan chiefs why can't we make a little bit of pennies on a connection with good old King Arthur. Rosylin Chapel has made squillions from the carp Dsan Brown wrote in the Da Vinci Code! Wake up tourist people and smell the coffee! There were two reps there from Visit Scotland and i couldn't help but think they had no interest in the small guy what so ever! all they want to promote is golf courses & whisky!
The other thing I noticed that all those who voiced their "opinions" on all matters trouts related in Argyll were almost all English! Just as the first time I went to North Hants and stopped to ask directions, the chap was from Glasgow! Weird how folks are more brazen out of their own territory!
Time I logged off! Get it!
