Pooped Pup

Mace came to work with me again today, day number two. He seemed to do a bit better as far as sniffing it all out, exploring the space and meeting the patients. He decided half way through the morning that in his crate was where it's at, and stayed there, sound asleep until noon.

Once home, we took a long walk in the field and then a trip to Skowhegan for a few things... one of which was a new variety of puppy food. It appears that the "high quality" iams brand, isn't so quality to our pup.

Seeing as he slept so much of the day, as well as in the car for our trip to town, I felt he needed some exercise. It's dark outside, and cold... so inside play it was. He and I ran up and down the hallway, back and forth in the living room for about an hour. He would get so pooped, that he'd stop mid-run and lay on the floor watching me as if to say "no, you go ahead, I'll catch up".

I think my plan worked, it's 8:30 and he's been fast asleep on his bed for a half hour. An easy transition to his crate, and we're all off to bed.
