Doha Days

An evening walk at the end of another busy and productive day here. It's our weekend again tomorrow - this week has really melted away very fast. We are melting a bit too in the 30 degrees midday temperatures. I am trying to imagine what it will be like here when the temperature is nudging 50 degrees at the end of June.
These grasses are planted at the base of the palm trees on our compound. They are lit by floodlights that gives them a somewhat surreal effect - but then much of this manmade colonisation of the dunes is also really quite surreal too.
