The sun shone

Which is a huge relief post flood-stormy weather.

I found on Facebook the Christchurch baking Army who have various drop off locations for people who have baked goodies . They then distribute the baking amongst those affected by the floods and those who are helping with the clean up.

So I baked 2 trays of scones, some muffins and made some Sammie's to drop off.

I also sorted out the kids clothes that I've been storing in the garage, I took out the stuff that's sentimental to me and went to the city mission today with them , I think it wound up being 5 containers full from newborn to size 4 clothes so I hope that they can be redistributed to those that need them.

Pop came by with a cicada that he found, unfortunately wasn't a well cicada. Mar came home and was very concerned about said cicada. He said things like 'don't worry cicada we'll help you and make you feel better' I told him that he probably got wet so he decided to put him in the sun to dry his wings. He didn't last long. So I put him in my hand and mar stroked him and we both looked at his intricate colours. Then we had a cicada funeral. Mar wanted to bury him in the pot were growing sunflowers, so we did. It was lovely. We both said goodbye and thank you for coming to see us.

Had Kanyes IEP after school and that went well.

I then built a Lego digger. Ah what an interesting day!
