Happy Pictures

We got a surprise parcel in the post ............... a framed picture of out latest grandchild.

That brought a smile to our faces.
We have obviously known for a while and seen a scan already - but it was really nice to get a present of one of our own.

The kids were well behaved and squirrels hair was really showing off her curls.
The Cygnet was completely engrossed in a Top Cat cartoon ...... that was a blast from the past (and much better than the modern cartoons).

Numbers at the camera club were really disappointing.
No idea why.
The members have said they want nights when they can socialise and talk about their own and other members pictures.
What could be better to this end than a meeting in the back room of a pub and have people talk for 20 seconds about 20 of their images?

The 12 of us who turned up had a great time.
It was actually very hard to talk for 20 seconds on an image - especially when being heckled - without running over ............ and then to do it for 20 images. Try it!

Afterwards one of the guys was trying my camera when we were talking about how hard shooting the Rat Pack had been with the lighting.
When he had finished having a go, I thought I would try a get a half decent shot of the flower on the table.
I hate to think what the brainless monkeys in the public bar next door would think of there being 'flowers???' taking up pint glass space on the tables.
