The Garden of Skye
This was the early morning view from the garden of the Duisdale Hotel in Skye.
Shortly before 08.00 it was warm enough to walk around outside in shirt sleeves as the sun attempted to climb above the trees at the bottom of the garden.
The mist was still hanging around the mountain tops across the water in Knoydart.
I can definitely recommend the Duisdale Hotel as a good location to explore this part of the island.
The rooms are beautifully finished, attentive service with lots of Gaelic spoken and the food is excellent.
Now that I have started sipping wine again, I did notice the wine list is impressive. OK, I did manage more than a sip with dinner.
It might be a bit early in the year for this, but the hotel owners offer trips in their yacht. That will be some experience on a fine summer's evening.
Well worth a visit.
