It's time to go

The sun has (almost) gone down on the Co-op in Sherborne for the last time. On Saturday it will close its doors - but are we sad?
Most of the shelves are empty, the staff stand around propping up the bread counter, and there are hardly any customers anyway.
This enormous temple to the consumer started life as Somerfields many years ago. It seemed great at the time, as there was no supermarket in the town.

But now it is time for renovation! And a transformation into Waitrose before Easter!
