Back in Doha
It's nice being back in Doha after the Dubai whirlwind. Doha is still a new city but there's a more authentic feel to it.
After a morning at the pool, we went to Doha's equivalent of Carpet Right and bought a rug from Iran. The walk back to Colin's flat carrying the rug in 30 degree heat was a good work out.
The main food groups here seem to be chicken or meat so it was a mixed grill for lunch. Loving the starters - Tabbouleh, hummus, pitta... And I'm literally in tea heaven. Have only just discovered Moroccan tea. Must have drunk about 20 cups today.
The sunsets are beautiful, set the sky pink and orange. This was taken from the Museum of Islamic Art where we spent the evening listening to a string quartet. Had some dinner at the Souq - Thursday here is the start of the weekend, was buzzing... People with falcons, spices, pushing wheelbarrows, mental drivers, people dancing, smoking, lots of animals...
