World Book Day

There were a lot of things literary going on at school today.

Not surprisingly, one of my favourite authors is the Prof. He has always been a bit of a hero of mine, along with Rutherford, Bohr and Feynman.

Hawking manages to make the completely unintelligible workings of his supercomputer mind into something just about understandable to mere mortals and I find all his work absolutely fascinating.

He ranks right at the top as the most prominent scientific writer - next to Douglas Adams, of course.
