Cleared for Takeoff!!

Penelope Pelican had just finished going through the safety procedures and was cleared for takeoff. No idea where she was going but it was spectacular to see her lift off and fly into the clear blue yonder. You may enjoy viewing the LARGER version of this beautiful bird.

Well what a day it has been and I have to say one of the highlights was our tour of the Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal Site. The wonderful guides were full of stories about their ancestors and it is so interesting to hear tales that were handed down from generation to generation. I did enjoy meeting Anita who was absolutely dumbfounded by my interpretation of a beautiful piece of rock art. A lovely soul who had the most wonderful sense of humour. It's so true though, we will never truly have reconciliation in this country until we have understanding. The guides certainly did a great job in educating the group.

It was our third and final cooking demonstration by Julie Goodwin and what a session it was. We were all intrigued to hear the ins and outs of Julie's journey on Masterchef and all I can say is that anyone wanting to follow in her footsteps will have to have an enormous amount of courage and fortitude.

A huge feature of the trip along the Murray are the limestone cliffs. The image on my blip folio was taken just on sunset and I hope it gives an indication of the incredible beauty that we encountered along the way.
