Circeo

On the horizon, just left of center, you can see what looks like an island, named CIRCEO after the CIRCE WITCHand is part of the mainland.

Form a distance it looks so much like an island that in bad weather, many vessels have tried to take refuge behind it, thus coming to as nasty end on the rocks.

The wrecks were blamed on the Circe witch who was said to entice sailors to thier death.
