Not a drop of snow to be seen

I've never really understood why these lovely little flowers are called snowdrops. I mean, ok their petals look like drops of snow, but they're rarely seen at the same time. Usually snow first then snowdrops... My small brian struggles with this.

However, these splendid specimens are in ma and pa's garden - paying them a flying visit before Titch's birthday luncheon tomorrow. Ma experimented with Hugh FW's stuffed cabbage leaves for tea - very successful indeed!

And now to light the fire and slowly roast myself with a glass of wine - perfect!
