There's something nasty in the woodshed!

Went for a walk this afternoon in some glorious weather - long may it last! -
and came across these pieces of wood. The first one reminded me of an animal - perhaps a wolf howling (or any other suggestions you might have). It has obviously been used as a scratching post for sheep!
And the others are tree roots that have become visible after the river has washed away some of the footpath whilst it was in full flood during the bad weather. The ground has dried a little, but needs to dry further if we are to walk without wellies!!
