Parish Church Of St Clements

St Clements church is one of the oldest in Cambridge, built between 1215-17 on the site of an earlier building in Bridge Street. The walls are rubble, some brick and freestone dressings. It has been restored and rebuilt in places over the centuries, the last restoration being in 1863. It is now shared with the Greek Orthodox Church of St Athanasios and St Clements. There are some quite lovely features in the interior. This view was taken through the surrounding railings and at first I was just admiring the spring crocus.
