Cockenzie No More

Decided it was too windy to run this morning, so went for a cycle ride instead. There was no logic in this. Too windy to run, too windy to cycle. Cycling into the wind was very hard work. I was windswept and exhausted when I got home. Then 10 minutes later had to get myself out to do the school pickup. Whew – my legs didn’t know what had hit them.

Cockenzie power station stopped generating electricity about a year ago and is currently being demolished. The iconic chimneys are due to go later this year. My legs were glad of the brief stop for a blip opportunity.
