Ok I know some of you will not get this but, this is my new sweater or jumper. I am having a hard time calling it that however, I will defer.
When I saw it across the store, I may have squealed.
There are times when wearing something that makes people smile is a good thing.
The majority of the people I see are so scared and if I can bring a smile to them well, that doesn't suck.
I have also found that having my photographs on the wall of my office gives people something to look at and sparks conversations that relaxes most of them.
As I said yesterday the sweater was a hit. The difference between the reactions of men and women is almost polar opposite. Men loved it. One women just said: oh my what an interesting jumper (ok she said sweater). I find in the course of the interview process people will occasionally will ask me personal questions. You know, Am I married, Where do I live.
There is one question that always shocks me.
I have been asked about my hair a hundred times and only by men.
Now my hair is red. It looks natural. What I mean is it's not an unnatural red. It is more coppery and is not at all off color.(unlike my mind which is some scary). Women never ask this. Men will ask if I am a natural redhead. Wait a minute.....
omg I think it just made sense. Men will comment on my freckles and they also ask if they can call me Susie.
Women may comment lightly on my boots however., men are fascinated. Men will ask questions. The first one is always do you ride? Usually I will say I used to ride English. That just makes them smile. omg thatjust made sense too.
Hmmmmmm
On the home front,
The physical therapist and home health nurse came today. They were impressed with Dad's progress.
He told them he went out for breakfast today. A week without seeing his girls.......it drove him crazy. The nurse and therapist told him he has to be "housebound" for them to see him. He told them that he has every intention of going out as often as he can.
Survey says.....enhhhh
He needs to get better not sick again. Yeah I will win this one
Oh I forgot,
My boss said no to pajama day. Just as well people talked about what they wear to bed. Whoa baby this would not be pretty. My monkeys and banana fleece pants are nothing compared to what I heard today.
I had to stop one woman mid sentence and say TMI.
Well time to go get Dad's meds set. Did I mention I crush them for him? My kitchen counter may need to be replaced. I use a tenderizing mallet :) it's fun.
Have a great night or if you are starting the day, good morning sunshine!!!
