my husband returned from athens on business and bought back a present for us: bread from Venetis Bakery

yellow: corn bread
brown: walnut bread
white: sourdough bread (each type made from a different flour mix)
the fried dough is a sweet treat from the region of Mani (Pelopenese), called lallagia

good high-quality transparent food is not hard to find in greece, it's also relatively well-priced - everything you see in the photo cost €12.50, with the lallagia being the most expensive item, at 5.69 (all items are weighed to work out the cost)
