Gardenstown, Banffshire

I am assured by the nice weather lady on the tele that there is warm air and fine weather approaching our shores and needless to say, I am very happy that the south of England may be at this very moment dallying under blue skies and temperatures in the high teens.

Meanwhile, we on the Banffshire and Moray coast, an area which usually boasts good weather, are experiencing cold winter conditions with grey skies and gale force icy winds.
The buffeting and sudden gusts as we climbed the hill from the harbour up to the paper shop were serious enough to have us hanging on to poles and walls when we took photographs.
On the plus side, we have not had any of the hail or sleet showers we had yesterday, so we should be grateful for small mercies.

We have no mobile phone connection and no WiFI in the cottage, but the small hotel is where I'm sitting at the moment to use their internet. Let joy be unconfined!
