SUN!

After 10 days of gloom we woke this morning to a sunny day. It was such a relief. Here's a view of our cottage (and further away our neigbour's home) taken from our house. The snow is getting very thin but still mostly covers the ground.
Today is International Women's Day, as I'm sure you know. Being interested in photography we listened to a really interesting talk about genus in media photographs, given by Thomas Gunnarsson who writes a blog, genusfotografen.se. The talk was a mixture of funny, depressing, annoying, and uplifting. I wonder if in some ways things have gone backwards since the 70's but there were a few bright spots where after a little prompting magazines changed their policy and started using better pictures.
After the talk it was back out into the sunshine!
