Cherry flower and guest

It really did seem that Spring has arrived today although, the wind was gelid. It's good to be able to open up all the windows all day to give the house a thorough airing.

I spent some time in the garden but didn't do much other than gaze around and wonder where to start to restore it from it's post winter damage. I've got to start sowing seeds but the weeding can wait until I can see where the dormant plants are still lying.

I have a dwarf flowering cherry. It's so dwarf that although I've had it for at least six years, it's still only a couple of feet high. It's flowers looked so graceful and finding this little robber fly on the petals was the bonus I was looking for. First insect blip of the year!
