Visitors

We have had a wonderful day! Started out nice and lazy, a bit of time chilling out in bed together, then baths. Katie then went outside and played out for about an hour, scooting, chalking on the patio. I brought her in when the first visitors of the day came, the only "planned" visitors. A friend brought her two girls for a a very few photos before the children had a play together, back out in the garden. When they'd gone, Katie asked to have her lunch in the garden.

We then started work building her new swing set. We were nearly done when the next visitors arrived. Linda had asked to stop by for something, but ended up bringing the two boys, and our friends Julie & Phil came too, with James, Emma and my goddaughter Olivia. We finished building the swing set (turns out a single mama can build a swing set, but cannot put together the glider swing for it. That needed three people). The children had a lot of fun playing on the slide and swings.

We were just waving goodbye to them when little friend Lydi was cycling down the street with her mummy. They came into the garden to play on the new swings and for a coffee. Emma & I ended up dead-heading the garden together as the girls played. Katie wanted to ride her bike too so she cycled back to Lydi's house before we came home for a quite late tea. It has been such a wonderful day, out entirely in the sunshine!
