Rites of passage

When Isla arrived at ballet, her mummy plaited her hair. And after many efforts of previously trying to convince Katie to allow me to plait hers, she today asked to have hers plaited. And it looks adorable.
They were very bouncy during ballet. Katie can't help but shriek with delight at several points of the class. Her teacher complimented her on her skipping and her flexibility so Katie was full of "proud of herself" smiles. During tap, they used a different, more funky, piece for one of the exercises. Katie couldn't contain herself and went full out improv. boogeying.
We went for a wander in to town after ballet, a sandwich and ccino in the coffee shop, a cake from the market for Mothers Day tea and we bumped into a friend who came wandering with us.
She had a major play in the lounge this afternoon while I finished off some work before we attempted to go to her swimming class. Here the afternoon got a bit chaotic as it wasn't until the taxi arrived at the pool I realised in her hunt for snacks she had pulled my purse out the bag! So it was a slightly chaotic half hour instead of a chilled out time with her swimming!
Despite the chaos, all is now well as we head off for some time with my parents, so all is right in her world!
