Scotland the great

Hubby and I came back this afternoon from Aberdeen, having had a brilliant 24-hr mini-break that took in a pre-theatre Italian supper, a trip to HMT to see the play Moon Tiger starring Jane Asher, B&B at the Douglas, mass at the cathedral in the morning, then a visit to the Art Gallery where the Great Tapestry of Scotland is being exhibited until the middle of next month. A superb way to spend a day, making good use of our bus passes too! If you get the chance to see the tapestry it is indeed great. A fabulous piece of public art, and what a legacy for the people of Scotland. We thoroughly enjoyed the play too. I'm pleased we used our Christmas voucher from June for this one which was outwith our comfort zone of musicals and panto. I'm just away to download the book onto my kindle for a future holiday read.
