Lucia's Memorial Walk

As Lucia's elderly father has to go back to Portugal and have medical treatment tomorrow he won't be able to stay for her funeral. So instead we went for a walk in beautiful Wytham Woods followed by lunch at a country pub. Afterwards Alfredo read the lovely messages of condolence that had come from friends all over the world. He was overcome with emotion and unable to say more than 'Lucia - always in my heart' which was enough….

Now we just need to get the funeral organised - no easy task as she left no specific wishes. The children chose cremation so some of her ashes could go back to Portugal and to the Atlantic coast where she grew up.
