Loss

Yesterday was Josie's funeral which was beautiful and emotional. She always did everything in life well, and that extended to her death too. She worked with friends to plan the most wonderful service, taking great care to ensure those left behind would be comforted, showing remarkable selflessness.

Early this morning Lucia passed away. It's comforting to know that she is no longer suffering, but she will be sorely missed, not least by her lovely children. This afternoon friends joined the family to plan her funeral. As her elderly father cannot stay in the UK for her funeral, I'm trying to organise a small event to mark her passing on Sunday… time is against us, but it seems very important he should not leave without feeling he has been part of some sort of celebration of her.
