Carnarvon Gorge, Boolimba Bluff

Up at 5.30 and sat down by river hoping to see a platypus. Watched crazy kangaroo trying to get to the river but it then hopped away as it was so steep.
Pancakes for breakfast with maple syrup and cookies on top. Walked up a very steep cliff to Boolimba Bluff. Such an incredible view. My blisters were super sore from walking up there but it was definitely worth it! Sat on the edge of the rock which was a 600ft drop. After the walk we went for a long drive through the country. It's such a beautiful place. We drove all the way to Emerald which is a pretty weird place. Got a coffee and then drove back. It was very sleepy when I was in the passenger seat but when I was driving I was fine. Sent a picture to Lucy when we were Emerald of her car looking rather dirty from the back. Wrote 'miss you Lucy' on the back. We watched the sunset over the gorge which was amazing. Got some good pictures. Cooked up a good couscous for supper and chatted to the two couples staying at the campsite. Then went and sat down at the creek and star gazed. It was such a clear night and we saw a couple of shooting stars.
Masses of wild dogs howling that night. Think there were two different packs as they were coming from different directions.
