Lots of water!

Love this image of the water pools that lead to one of our ponds. The heavy rains of the last while have filled all our ponds full to overflowing. The rivulets are running fast down through the meadows and forests. Just beautiful.

We worked this weekend to capture the runoff from one stream and divert it into a large water tank. Success! We used a hose and siphoned water a great rate. The 500 gallon tank was full in 5 hours! Ready for watering some trees and shrubs that we are planting this spring. Now that we have had success here we are going to try it near our garden. The summers are very DRY so this water is a real gift and a very precious resource.
