Milk Hill White Horse

Another fine day and very welcome to see the year warming up. A weekend of travels, the weather was (mostly) good for flying Milk Hill so this is where I ended up on Sunday. This was in fact my first time back flying Milk Hill in around seventeen years! Things hadn't moved much :-)

This shot was taken on a small out and return along the ridge run to Golden Ball automatically from a small helmet mounted camera while thermalling up above the horse. Quality and shots continue not to be great (seems to miss most of the action) so will experiment with somewhere else to mount next time, and perhaps switch it back to video. Perhaps a "proper" digital camera on a gooseneck in the corner of the control frame would work best.

A thoroughly great day out with friends on the hill and in the air. Where will next weekend take us? ;-)
