Palaces, Buddhas, cabbages and condoms!!

First day exploring, we walked to Phra Arthit pier and boarded our boat for canal tour, where we encountered a lovely lady selling brightly patterned fan/hats.

Onto the royal palace and temple of the emerald Buddha before lunch ( very hot and lots to see and absorb) and then Wat Pho where we saw the reclining Buddha.

Some of us took the boat ferry back and had a lazy afternoon - I had a.mini sleep after feeling the heat of the morning - for our evening dinner we journeyed to Cabbages and condoms restaurant one which is involved in education - we encountered Santa and reindeer, wedding pair, a policeman made out of condoms! Excellent food!
